Puppet Show Script - Aesop's Fables "The Fox and the Grapes" PDF DOWNLOAD

Here's a puppet show script that's ready for children to perform. This puppet show script is based on the Aesop's Fables story of "The Fox and the Grapes." This puppet show script is adapted especially for the puppet stage by The Creativity Institute founders, who are veteran career advertising writers and parents. The "moral of the story" of the fable is clearly brought out in this contemporary, original, humorous adaptation. The moral of "The Fox and the Grapes" is that it is easy to despise what you cannot get.

This script has three roles: a narrator, the fox and the grapes. The grapes don't need to be a puppet, but it is a speaking part that can be handled in one of two ways:

1.) An offstage voice coming from upper stage right (stage right is the right side of the stage as the actors see it.) Or

2.) Simply use artificial grapes and dangle them from the top of the stage.

Puppet show length is approximately 2 1/2 - 3 minutes.

Also included with this puppet show script is a set of puppet show stage directions that The Creativity Institute put together to help parents and children stage more professional and enjoyable puppet shows, such as tips on moving mouths (almost everybody does it backwards), simulating walking, etc.
