About paints and markers for this easel: Washable markers are recommended, but never use non-washable or permanent markers or crayons of any type. Crayola and Alex brands were tested and worked well and were easy to clean. Mr. Doodler did not show up well on acrylic. Only water soluble paints advised for use with this easel. "Water color paint may some effort to clean off using glass cleaner, but it does come off."
